Shankar Kulkarni is a thoughtful, scholarly astrologer who looks at the karmic story in a chart. Using Vedic and Nadi principles he reads the Rahu-Ketu axis as the pull between past habits and new growth, Saturn as the teacher, Jupiter as grace, and the 9th and 12th houses for dharma and letting go. He also uses Prashna Kundli when someone asks a sincere question at a turning point. He is best with 'why does the same pattern keep repeating', 'what is my dharma in work and family', 'should I take up a spiritual commitment now', and feeling lost after a big change. Sessions are reflective and gently questioning, more conversation than lecture. Remedies are simple: reading the Gita a little daily, Saturday seva, journaling, a rudraksha when suitable. He takes general questions too.
